Supercharging Your AI Agent: Building Its Knowledge Base

Creating an AI agent with personality is just the first step. To make your agent truly valuable, it needs access to the right information. That’s where the “Expand Knowledge” section of the Startup Guide comes in—it’s where the real magic happens, transforming your agent from a friendly voice into a knowledgeable expert on your specific domain.

Getting Started with Knowledge Graph

  1. Prepare Your Materials: Gather documents, links, and information you want your agent to learn from.

  2. Upload Documents:

    • Select “Knowledge Graph” in the left hand menu bar then “Documents” in the main view
    • Choose PDFs, MP4s and image files from your computer
    • Processing will start automatically with statuses provided

  3. Connect Websites:

    • Go to “Knowledge Graph” > “Websites”
    • Enter the URL you want your agent to learn from, like this - “https://flockx.io/”
    • Click “Crawl” and allow 5-15 minutes for processing

  4. Add Direct Knowledge:

    • Go to “Knowledge Graph” > “Context”
    • Type or paste raw text information directly into your Graph.
    • Use section headers (##) to organize longer content
    • For example: # for H1, ## for H2, and so on - ## This is a H2 header
    • Click on the “arrow’ icon when complete to add

  5. Assign Research Tasks:

    • Go to “knowledge Graph” > “Research”
    • Define a specific topic or question to research
    • Click “Create Research” (allow up to 10 minutes)

  6. Verify Knowledge Integration:

    • Use the “Validation” tool to confirm information added
    • Ask test questions related to the added content
    • Review and adjust if your agent doesn’t demonstrate understanding
