Supercharging Your AI Agent: Building Its Knowledge Base
Creating an AI agent with personality is just the first step. To make your agent truly valuable, it needs access to the right information. That’s where the “Expand Knowledge” section of the Startup Guide comes in—this is where the real magic happens, transforming your agent from a friendly voice into a knowledgeable expert in your domain.
Getting Started with Knowledge Graph
Step 1: Prepare Your Materials
- Gather documents, links, and all relevant information you want your agent to learn from.
Step 2: Upload Documents
- Navigate to Knowledge Graph in the left-hand menu.
- Select Documents from the main view.
- Choose files such as PDFs, MP4s, or image files from your computer.
- Upload begins automatically and you’ll see a processing status for each file.
Step 3: Connect Websites
- Go to Knowledge Graph > Websites.
- Enter a target URL (e.g.,
https://flockx.io/
). - Click Crawl and wait 5–15 minutes for the system to process the content.
Step 4: Add Direct Knowledge
- Navigate to Knowledge Graph > Context.
- Type or paste raw text directly into the editor.

- Click the arrow icon to save and submit your content.
Step 5: Assign Research Tasks
- Go to Knowledge Graph > Research.
- Input a specific topic or question for your agent to investigate.
- Click Create Research and allow up to 10 minutes for results.

- Use the Validation tool within the Knowledge Graph dashboard.
- Ask your agent test questions about the uploaded content.
- Revise or refine the knowledge if the agent isn’t answering accurately.

Troubleshooting Tips
- Documents not uploading? Ensure file type is supported (PDF, MP4, or image) and try again.

- Processing delays? Refresh the page after a few minutes or check your internet connection.
